Methods for the conservation of materials

 

Two methods are used to preserve materials during shipment or for a defined period: barrier laminate packaging with dehumidifying agents and wrapping in anti-corrosive film.

Laminated barrier packaging with dehumidifying agents, such as silica gel or active clay, allows the material to be sealed in a conditionable environment with humidity not exceeding 30% R.H.

Anti-corrosive film wrapping

VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) anticorrosive film wrapping with VCI sponges allows the material to be wrapped with active VCI corrosion inhibitor film, adding VCI sponges so that the innermost parts of the volume to be preserved can be reached. VCI materials prevent corrosion without requiring the addition of other products and guarantee the best protection in both land and sea shipments and in the event of extreme temperature changes.
